Rachel Crawley wurde seit ihrer Jugend für ihre Akne gehänselt, die 22-Jährige hat wie viele andere betroffene Teenager eine schwere Zeit durchgemacht und versteckte sich vor der Welt. Heute ist Rachels Haut schon viel besser, die schöne Britin ist so selbstsicher geworden, dass sie sogar an einem Schönheitswettbewerb teilnimmt. Ein einziger Ernährungstrick hat ihr geholfen, ihre schlimme Akne endlich in den Griff zu bekommen.

Durch ihre schlechte Haut isolierte sich Rachel lange Zeit von ihrer Umwelt. „Ich wollte abends nicht mit meinen Freunden ausgehen, Ich bin Weihnachten nicht mal zum Haus meiner Tante gegangen und bin stattdessen alleine zu Hause geblieben“, verrät sie der britischen Zeitung „Daily Mail“. Sie hatte Angst, dass ihre Akne schlimmer werden könnte, wenn sie sie mit Make-up verdeckt, deshalb ließ sie sich die Haare sehr lange wachsen.

The left photo was taken today! And the right photo was taken 2 months ago! The scarring on my cheeks is still quite bad and is taking a while to fade. The scars around my chin seem to be disappearing a lot quicker. Unfortunately there isn't a quick fix for acne and it doesn't just disappear over night so please try not stress in the mean time. I know it's easier said than done but stressing about it only makes it worse. Try and listen to your body to see if you notice certain foods triggering your breakouts or certain products you are issuing. When I went to the doctors they told me food does not cause acne. Yet changing certain things in my diet for me worked. Also my acne was in the hormonal areas such as along the jawline. What we don't realise is certain foods do effect our hormones. Such as dairy, meat and sugar. Not only the food we eat but the chemicals we put onto our skin from beauty products, makeup, cleaning products and plastics! Everybody is different and there are different success stories out there. I know how difficult it is finding one that works for you. Don't give up hope. It doesn't change who you are and you are still aloud to continue living your life. It's really not worth loosing your happiness over. I want to help and support anyone going through this because I've experienced how hard it is. I understand and can relate to a lot of you ? Rachels Akne sieht nach Diät nicht mehr schlimm aus

Dann entschied Rachel, ihre Ernährung umzustellen. Ihre krasse Verwandlung seitdem hat sie auf Instagram dokumentiert. Fotos von früher zeigen, wie schlimm ihre Hautprobleme waren: Dicke, rote Pusteln sind überall auf ihrem Gesicht zu sehen. Seit sie mit ihrem kleinen Fotoprojekt angefangen hat, ist ihre Haut sehr viel besser geworden und das hat sie hauptsächlich ihrer Ernährungsumstellung zu verdanken. Rachel isst größtenteils nur noch naturbelassene Rohkost und vegane Lebensmittel. Kristallzucker hat sie von ihrer Speiseliste gestrichen.

Vegan pancakes with raw cocoa almond butter cups on top ? I had these for breakfast this morning to give me fuel for my run I'm about to go on shortly ??‍♀️ I was craving something sweet this morning and this did the job! ? Sugar is addictive. It's hidden in processed foods even ones that are advertised as 100% natural so just because it looks healthy doesn't mean that it is! I fell in that trap at one point too! I now prepare my own meals and treats made from scratch this way I know what ingredients are being used. In the first month of clearing my skin I avoided treats like this but now I have no active acne I am able to include more in with out it having an effect. I still use healthy ingredients and no added sugar. Keeping my body in balance. Eating more alkalising foods than acidic, good fats, more omega 3's than 6 really help my skin. The days I do eat higher carbs are the days I am more active! Find what works for your body! ?? Going vegan really doesn't have to be boring or restrictive. I don't count calories or cut down on meals i eat when I'm hungry. It's taught me how to cook and get creative with natural foods to make delicious meals, treats and snacks! **SKIN UPDATE** The photo on the left is what my skin looks like now and as you can see the redness has gone down a lot! Thank god. Also I don't have any active spots at the moment they are either healing or a deep mark, hole, scar in my skin! Since going vegan my skin freaked out and even though I did suffer with spots before it was no where near as bad as this! I reassessed my diet and what had changed because I always eat really healthy and like to take care of my body and no one understood why I was eating so healthy for all these years but still breaking out! ?? Carbs/ sugar is my answer! Even brown rice, free from whole grain oats, fruit all which is good for you. They still are good for you so please continue to eat these foods if you don't experience any problems! Only for about 3 days I have stopped eating these foods and upped my fat intake (healthy fats) and guess what? No new breakouts! Once my skin has cleared up I may experiment with bringing them into my diet for now I'm going to continue High fat low carb ? I will post a new photo in a few weeks time to show you whether it has been working or not. My current source for carbs is lots of veggies! I have also included some supplements, teas, apple cider vinegar and have a morning/ night skin care routine. Again I'm not saying this will work for you I am just sharing what is working for me. Everybody is different! Listen to your body if something's not right with what your doing now look to see how you can change it. Curing acne will not happen over night so the main thing is not to stress or worry about it. Heute sieht Rachel so aus:

When you throw it back to days you had a clear skin and felt beautiful. When you question why and where it went wrong? It comes out of no where and you would do anything to get your clear skin back. You cry, stress and worry about your skin. You can't go out in public. You can't look at people in the eye. You hide your face away. Well please don't worry it won't last forever and you having acne should not take away your happiness. You deserve to be happy whether you have acne or not. Don't let your skin stop you from doing what you want to do. I know how hard it can be but I want to help other people through it. I have received messages from you guys that have touched my heart ❤️ Some of you have even been inspired to go out with no make up on which is amazing!! Next time take a photo and tag me I would love to see them! ? We shouldn't be looked at any differently to wearing makeup than not wearing makeup. Most make up contain chemicals that are harmful and we are putting them onto our skin. So many brands test on animals ? Just for us to look better and it's not right. It's not necessary! Make sure you do your research as even cruelty free brands still have parent companies that test on animals! I have got rid of all my makeup for this reason! I will be trying some of the organic brands soon with natural ingredients so I'll let you know how those products go.
